The Clear Principle by Pham Huy & Danny Goldsmith

This might not be the first time you've seen Coin Through Glass.
But it's definitely the version you'll actually use.
The Clear Principle variations
The Clear Principle:
A simple principle that removes every major limitation of one of close-up magic's favorite plots.

A truly impromptu, gimmickless, easy to perform coin through glass, for any occasion.

Adaptable to rings, keys, bottle caps, and almost any other small object you have on hand.

Coin through glass is a classic. It's a plot magicians have loved and chased for years, and for very good reason: nothing beats watching a solid object pass through solid glass, right in front of you.

But every version currently out there comes with a catch. They're not impromptu. They need elaborate setup. Or expensive gimmicks. Or finger-busting, expert-level sleight of hand skills. Or the mouth of the glass is left wide open, making the penetration less convincing. Or they only work with one very specific coin, bottle, or glass.

The Clear Principle removes every one of those problems...

The Clear Principle is a refreshing take on the coin/object through glass. It’s probably the closest version you can get compared to any gimmick version. Great job!

Why this is the one you'll actually perform:
100% impromptu. No gimmicks. No prep. Nothing to carry. Nothing to set up. Nothing to reset. Anytime there's a glass and a coin, or ring, or bottle cap, or key in front of you, you can pick them up and do the impossible. Nothing unusual is brought into play, and nothing feels out of place.
Easy to learn and perform. You'll be able to learn and start performing this within hours, and there are variations for every skill level. However much time you've got, and whatever level of magical proficiency you're at, there's a version of this that you can quickly drop in to your repertoire.
Everything can be examined. Because there are zero gimmicks involved, the moment the coin lands, spectators can immediately inspect the glass and the coin/object that passed through it.
Whatever's on the table in front of you, there's a method to make the most of it. A big glass or a tiny one, glass or plastic, plus a coin or a ring or a bottle cap, seated or standing, big hands or small. Add a shot glass or a credit card to the mix if you've got them, for even more impact.

This is a great breakthrough for impromptu magic! I really love this, it's one of those things every close-up magician will want to learn. I'm definitely gonna be practicing this move!
