This is an extremely rare manuscript by U.F. Grant. The effects explained are very strong and original ones. We believe that some effects are explained in no other publication.

Here is a brief description of the effects:

1 - Magician allows anyone to step forward and sit in a chair. He blindfolds them and does this to show it is not hypnotizing. Then tells person to try to stand up, and they are unable to do so.

2 - Person placed in chair and blindfolded and given a revolver and told it is impossible for him to raise it and point it at the audience. Try as he may, he cannot raise his arm. Effect is most uncanny, even to him.

3 - Person is blindfolded and told to stand erect with feet together, side-ways to audience. Have anyone stand to rear of him, ready to catch him as he falls backwards. Tell him you will wave your hands in front of his face and he will feel a breeze so strong that it will push him backwards. This it does, without your hands touching him.

4 - Magician says he will cause the victim to become blind, so he is unable to read. Anyone writes anything on a slate and the victim, while apparently under the Magician's control, is unable to read it.

5 - Person is blindfolded at one side of stage and he is told if he can walk over to girl at opposite side she will give him a kiss. But he is unable to do so.

All these effects are achieved by very very simple and effective methods. Bonus effects in the manuscript:
