Flux 2.0

Over 10 years ago Roddy McGhie released a magic trick that put the magic world on notice, a brilliant new creator had arrived. Flux was a smash hit, beloved by discerning magicians who want only the most visual magic. However, Flux has been long out of production, and the magic world demanded it came back. Trick Trick Boom are therefore delighted to unveil the NEW AND IMPROVED Flux 2.0!

There are some great visual moments in magic, few, if any, can compete with the beauty of the Flux 2.0 moment. It’s as much fun to play with as it is to perform, and we beg you to perform Flux 2.0, it gets KILLER reactions.

The Effect

A card is selected by your spectator, lost into the deck and you invite a second spectator to find it. Guess what, they fail!

The fearless magician suggests a new plan. He introduces the concept of a psychic phenomenon, “automatic writing”. You hand your spectator a sharpie, they remove the lid, and they begin to stab randomly at the back of the wrong card. You show the spectators ‘psychic auto-art’ but it reveals nothing, just a series of random dots and dashes…but you’re not done! The magician has one more play, with a gentle wave, right before their disbelieving eyes, the dots and dashes slowly and visually morph into legible text, spelling out the selected card. The card is then immediately handed out and can (should!) be given away. An impossible souvenir.

What’s New with Flux 2.0?

Everybody loved the original Flux but there were a few requests from magicians, and TTB always listens!

The original only came with one reveal card, and it was always the same card. Now you get two different reveal cards!

With the original Flux, giving away the card was an issue. The card had to be hand drawn using astencil that some found difficult to use.

You now get twenty of each card, a total of 40 gaffs to give away and freeze the moment of magicin the heads of your spectators….and refills are available.

You also get the TTB Dead Sharpie System. If sold separately, this alone would be a $40 release. You will love this simple and elegant solution.
