James Biss - Mind Blowing  

The DVD contains a number of effects & an interview with James Biss. MIND BLOWING by James Biss is a real stage performance.

Basically here are the tricks shown:

Psycho Tatoo
Not really a trick, James asks the audience to draw 2 pictures on a piece of paper and then have the audience members who guessed right raise their hands. Typically 1/3 of audience members will always draw a tree & a house (the other typical drawings most people do are boats and stick figures).

Taking Pictures
Drawings made by audience members are gathered in double changer bags, the performer having picked 4 drawings before the performance begins so he knows what the pictures are.

Impressionable Mind Board
An etch-a-sketch pad device with a piece of cardboard is used to draw an image (the pen is a sharpie with a magnet in it). When the pad is grabbed back by the performer, he peeks at the drawing underneath.

ESP Mind Set
5 audience members are asked to randomly sit on chairs. The envelopes are mixed and distributed. Each envelope contains an ESP symbol which matched a prediction stuck to the chair. The last participant is a stooge who keeps the envelopes in a stacked order.

PSY Key Chain
A key, made from a metal which bends when heated, has been kept on ice backstage. During the performance, James has the key held by someone. Over time the prop bends by itself.

The Dating Game
An audience member's phone number is guessed by 3 other participants. They know what her number is because it is faintly written on pieces of cardboard given to them, (her number having been copied by the magician in pre show work).

Exact same show as above, but with a more adult patter and innuendo.
