The Visionary 2.0 & The Baby Book by Stephen Young

This is an updated effect of the original Visionary with a different method. You can do this in any language. The Visionary 2.0 cards have no words on them, the Baby Book has a few English words in it. The Baby Book is not in my language but I have never been asked about it because it is so innocent looking.

The Visionary 2.0 effect goes like this, the spectator takes any card from the 20 cards that are in front of him. On the front there is an image and on the back there are lots of small images, including the one on the front. The spectator names the images in any order and you would still now which image they took. This is just one phase. There are other phases and effects possible with these cards (which are tarot sized)

The Visionary cards are 10 black cards with white images and 10 white cards with black images. There is also one blank card. You could do an out of this world routine if you want to with these cards.

I personally love The Baby Book this is from Stephen Young and John Morton. This is such an innocent looking prop. It uses exactly the same method as the Visionary cards.

It’s a childrens book and each page contains one large ‘target’ image and numerous smaller images. The spectator reads out all of the images including the target image and you will still know which is the ‘target’ image. You could bring so much humour in play with this fun book. I use it in all my close up shows.
