Michael Misko - Dangerous Hilarity Michael Misko on the Malini Card Stab

Learning a new trick is hard enough. This one you perform blindfolded, where you can’t see the audience, with a weapon in your hand.

You will learn my version of the Malini Card Stab: how to run a room you can’t see, how to do the same thing three times without getting stale, why you get to be serious after an hour of being an idiot, and how to build a closer that starts an hour early.

And lessons gleaned from thousands of stabs: how to build the response and how to milk it, building tension to be consistently broken by applause and laughter, using the beat before the final reveal to add value and pop the response, the props and why their inspection is part of the act, why signing the board becomes one of the most important parts of the routine, method variations that give you a strategic advantage, and the experience-based details that make it work.

This isn’t just teaching the Malini Card Stab. It’s teaching you how to present your closer. Your closer is the last trick in your show. It should be the whole show.
