Have you ever seen something so visual and so bizarre that you thought you had just witnessed a CGI effect? ​​That’s exactly the experience your viewers will have with Unbent.

The effect:

A random card is chosen freely and signed on the face – without any coercion. You tell the audience that cheating gamblers sometimes mark cards, but not on the face like the spectator has just done – that would be far too obvious. You turn over their signed card and explain that a cheater typically marks the back with a subtle bend or crease. This makes it easier to find specific cards, and you bend the card to demonstrate this.

Suddenly, you stop, almost embarrassed, and show them the back of the card – now with a clear and distinct white line, because you have bent it far too much. Not very subtle! You now ask them to keep an eye on the back, because what they are about to see can only be described as pure magic – like a special effect come to life. With a slight shake of the card, the white crease disappears, and you “heal” the back, so that it is completely normal again – right before their eyes.

Immediately, you turn the card over, show that their signature is still on the front, and give them the card as a souvenir of a truly visual and magical experience.
