The magician selects a random audience member using a crumpled paper ball. The spectator is asked to imagine the ball as a fruit, “stabbing” it to experience its smell, juice, and taste. The spectator names the fruit they are imagining. While the choices feel free, the magician has subtly influenced and predicted the outcome.

At the reveal, the knife itself contains the prediction of the fruit.
